When many people think of Las Vegas, it’s the gambling, glamor, excess and dazzling architecture that spring to mind. But while visitors are busy enjoying the thrills of Sin City’s casinos, there’s one essential feature they’re almost certain to need – and it’s rarely mentioned on any casino homepage: the restrooms.
To shed some light on this often-overlooked aspect, Gambling.com’s research team turned to Reddit. They found a popular post on the r/Vegas subreddit – which attracts around 648,000 visitors each week – asking a simple but useful question: “Do you have a favourite casino restroom?”
Please see the top/most upvoted answers below.
Any restroom whose sensors actually recognise when your hands are under the faucet/soap (74 upvotes)
Despite all of the indulgences available in Las Vegas, functionality is at the top of the agenda when it comes to restrooms in the city’s casinos. So it seems that owners should prioritise ensuring that the technology in their bathrooms works effectively and as intended before worrying about whether the outside of the mirror should be covered in gold plating.
Near or in the high-limit area of any casino (47 upvotes)
Simple yet understandable – follow the money, or go to the places where people will be wagering a lot of money, and the restrooms will probably be pristine.
Fontainebleau has the best hands down – followed by Venetian (35 upvotes)
The iconic Fontainebleau is the first specific casino highlighted in this list/the post’s top comments. With this venue having only opened in December 2023, following a long and complicated building process, it’s no surprise that its modern setting contains arguably the best restrooms available in Sin City.
Another Las Vegas Strip casino, the Venetian, is also given a strong shout out in this comment. However, this Venice themed establishment has been on the scene considerably longer than its counterpart, having opened in 1999. Nevertheless its restroom facilities are obviously some of the best in Vegas – at least according to Reddit users.
Wynn high limit poker room & Resort World’s disco-themed bathroom (31 upvotes)
The two places highlighted in this comment bring quite different imagery to mind. The high-limit poker room in the Wynn, a luxury hotel and casino resort on the Strip, is probably quite a high-pressure environment. So it’s no surprise that its patrons are given some of the best restroom facilities available, whether to answer the call of nature or take a few minutes to consider if they should really buy back into the game.
For casino enthusiasts in a more funky mood, you would struggle to think of a better place to take a restroom break than Resort World’s disco-themed bathroom. Although the facilities are completely functional, there is also an ingenious novelty element at play, and the restroom is a favourite setting for social media snappers.
The Berlin Wall at Main Street Station (27 upvotes)
This was put forward as specifically one for men – by a woman commenter. As the comment suggests the Main Street Station Hotel & Casino has a large slab of the Berlin Wall, protected by glass, displayed directly behind its urinals.
The authentic fragment even has graffiti still visible on it, so visitors seeking relief can feel like they’ve taken a trip to the German capital – I suppose.
The private bathroom with a city view in the Skyfall Lounge at the W (formerly Delano) (23 upvotes)
For those seeking personal space and some of Las Vegas’ scenery, the Skyfall Lounge’s private bathroom with a city view sounds right up their alley.
Skyfall itself offers panoramic views of the whole city from its 64th floor perch atop the W Las Vegas.
The restroom in the NoMad part of Park MGM (13 upvotes)
The NoMad occupies the top four floors of the Park MGM tower, and its decor and setting are considerably different from that of the rest of the establishment – with a focus on elegant European home-style living, as opposed to the theme of glitz and glamor common on the Strip.
As such, its restrooms reflect this alternative decor – which many Reddit users also seem to appreciate.
Park MGM restroom on Park Avenue side (12 upvotes)
The Park MGM is located right in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, and as such it receives a lot of visitors – particularly on the side facing the rest of the resort corridor.
On the opposite side of the venue that faces Park Avenue, things are usually a little less hectic. So it’s no surprise that the restrooms on this side of the resort are a bit more peaceful while still being well maintained – putting it just behind NoMad in terms of upvotes.
Everyone has an individual preference when it comes to answering nature’s call, but if you’re near one of these casinos (and you have time to be selective) why not try out some of the above facilities.
