Merkur to attend Horecava

The Gauselmann Group is heralding in the new year with a trade fair highlight in the Netherlands. From January 9-12 2023, the Merkur Gaming Netherlands subsidiary will present its diverse product range at Horecava, the largest Dutch trade fair for the hospitality sector. More than 60,000 trade visitors are expected to attend at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre to learn about the latest products and services from the hotel and food-service industry.

“Horecava is the largest Dutch event for the food, beverage and service industry and therefore the ideal platform for us to showcase our electronic gaming offering for the Dutch gastronomy market,” explains Athanasios “Sakis” Isaakidis, chief executive, International at Merkur Gaming. “We have products in our portfolio that have been specifically developed for the Dutch hospitality industry, which we are looking forward to personally presenting to visitors.”

The focus at the product exhibition this year will be on the G-Box and M-Box refurb. slot machines. The G-Box has already celebrated considerable success in the Dutch gastronomy market. Thanks to its slim and ergonomic design, it fits perfectly into any hospitality environment and is increasingly replacing outmoded reel-based machines. In addition, the DCS (Dynamic Content System) games management system provides operators with a new game for the G-Box every month – with no need even for an Internet connection. The M-Box refurb. is also a multigamer specifically tailored to the needs of the Dutch gastronomy sector. The special highlight: the M-Box refurb. are existing gaming arcade machines that following careful technical and optical testing have been refurbished for use in the hospitality industry. The M-Box refurb. is thus setting new standards in the sustainable development and production of AWPs.

“At Horecava, operators of gastronomy establishments have the opportunity to try out our state-of-the-art video-based gaming machines for themselves and thus become convinced of their quality and potential,” says Dirk Sondermann, managing director Merkur Gaming Netherlands. “We can also establish contacts between interested restaurateurs and machine operators, enabling them to work out the details of a joint partnership. Horecava enjoys an excellent reputation and I am sure that Merkur Gaming Netherlands’ attendance will enable us to build on the successes enjoyed pre-Covid.”
