Arnold Ash, the executive recruitment specialist, has revealed a 10-fight sponsorship deal for UK-based professional boxer Alireza ‘Razor Ali’ Ghadiri.
Razor Ali, born in Iran, is an up-and-coming super bantamweight, who fights orthodox and has a 10-0 record, with two knockouts. He moved to London in 2019 after fleeing a tumultuous upbringing in his home country aged 18.
After surviving a car crash that left him with severe burns, a violent kidnapping and gang life in Iran, 27-year-old Ghadiri built on his Thai boxing talents to begin amateur boxing when he arrived in the UK.
Climbing the ranks over five years, the fighter is now preparing for his next match to defend his International Boxing Organization (IBO) Continental super bantamweight title, taking on opponent Nyall Berry on December 7.
Arnold Ash will sponsor Razor Ali for his upcoming bouts with branded kit, starting from next month’s event at the 3,000-capacity Park Community Arena, Sheffield, while also producing behind-the-scenes content with the fighter.
The deal adds to a line-up of sponsorships from the executive recruitment and integrated talent advisory firm, whose CEO Jon Arnold is an experienced boxer and staunch supporter of grassroots sports. Earlier this year, Arnold Ash sponsored Gloves and Doves, an initiative to promote unity between Jewish and Arab youth in Israel through boxing, as well as sponsoring the Arthurian League representative team, made up of young football talent representing the FA and England in the UEFA Regional Amateur Cup in Helsinki .
Jon Arnold, CEO at Arnold Ash, said: “There is no doubt Razor Ali has overcome more barriers than most to stand where he is today. The boxer has survived a car crash that killed his family, violent attacks and a dangerous journey to build a new life here in the UK.
“Arnold Ash takes huge pride in supporting sportspeople looking to build their profile in highly competitive spaces, and as a boxer myself, I am pleased to back Razor Ali for his upcoming fights. We wish him the best of luck next month.”
Razor Ali’s upcoming fight is being promoted by GBM Sports and will be broadcast on DAZN as part of the ‘A Storm is Coming’ event. Tickets are available here.
